SAML 2.0

SAML used to be the most populare specification for federated authentication. Nowadays, modern applications tend to use OpenID Connect. Nevertheless, has excellent support for SAML.

Import Service Provider Metadata

Go to SAML and select Import Service Provider. Copy and paste the XML Metadata of your Service Provider. Follow the instructions of your product to understand how to do this.

Press Import and you are good to go.

Download Identity Provider Metadata

Go to SAML and select the small button with the down pointing arrow. Choose SAML Metadata. Import this metadata into the configuration of your service provider.


Under SAML and then Settings you can configure the capabilities you would like to support. The defaults work for most cases.

In some scenarios, you might want to uncheck certain capabilities. For extra security, you might want to check Wants signed authentication requests.
